This October, our Studio Favourite is a true macrame maker’s essential - 5mm Macramé Rope Bundles. With approx. 30m in each bundle they are the perfect size for plant hangers using 8 x 3m lengths. Not only do you not need to worry about wastage, as a small bundle, it means you can try even more colours and with 15 colours to choose from, there is something for every project.
How are they made?
Our Macrame bundles are made from European, high-quality cotton, the same as our luxe cotton range. To create the rope, multiple strands of thinly spun cotton are twisted together to make a thin string, these strands are then plied together to create a 3ply rope. This rope is bundled into shorter lengths of approx. 30m to minimise waste, giving you the same premium rope as our full rolls but in a smaller, user-friendly bundle.

Studio Tip:
Keep a few bundles on hand for when inspiration strikes. You’ll be surprised how often they’re just the right length for sampling a new knot, testing a design, or adding detail to a larger piece.
As with any rope, it can have a tendency to unravel as you work. As you are measuring, use sticky tape before cutting your lengths. This will leave both ends secure and stop it from getting loose as you knot.
