Our imagination knows no bounds, especially when it comes to colours.
But sometimes, we encounter creative blockages, unsure of which colours from our collection will create the perfect mix.

Whether you're aiming for a boho design or an elegant project, we've curated a short post featuring our favourite colour combinations to inspire your next macrame project.
Natural and...?
The most foundational colour, beloved for its versatility, a Natural fibre adds brightness to even the darkest projects and pairs well with absolutely any colour. Every yarn, ribbon and fibre comes in a natural tone and there are various shades of cream, eggshell and ivory to use in a similar manner.
For Macrame, easily take the work out of choosing with our ready to go perfectly blended natural mixed strings featuring 5 of our favourite tones. This lush European natural string as a colour twisted throughout creating interesting pieces and the most divine fringes.
Want to keep it more separate? Pair any of your favourite colours from our Luxe range with our Australian natural string.
If Bobbiny is your go to cord try one of our favourite combinations of Bobbiny shades with Natural such as Natural + Blush and Natural + Duck Egg Blue
Dusty Pink
The cool-toned Pink (centre) creates a captivating duo with Pearl or Moonlight.
Feeling adventurous? Mix all three for a special project destined straight from Instagram.
For a nature inspired contrast, don't forget your greens and pinks, or for the ultimate contrast, have you tried pink with mustard?
Warm days are coming with Sage, Mustard and Rust
These three colours evoke Autumn inspired decorations. They bring to mind real sunsets, warm evenings, and crisp leaves underfoot. Our luxe macrame string range has these and so many more warm earthy tones to choose from.
Need something more moody and bold?
Try pairing Ink Blue with Nut brown. Two of the new Bobbiny shades for 2025
We hope you find these colour combinations inspiring. To help you choose your next colour combination, get further inspiration from the colour wheel. You can learn more about that here
