Introducing our Tussah Silk top in a beautiful september blue. The perfect addition to any fiber artist's collection, this luxurious roving is made from the highest quality Tussah silk fibers, known for their strength, luster, and beautiful texture.

 

Available in two weight/length options, 50g and 100g. 100g provides approx 5m of fibre and will come in a continuous lenghth where possible.

Our Tussah Silk roving is perfect for spinning and felting and is ideal for blending with other fibres to add a lustrious sheen.   The smooth texture also makes it easy to work with.

 

Tussah Silk is a wild silk that is made by the wild tussah silk worms. the Tussah silk worms eat juniper leaves and oak and produces a natural cream colour. As the silk is produced in the wild and not in a controlled environment the silk tends to be a little bit courser and less lustrous than Mulberry silk howere is still a beautiful and high quality fibre to play with.

 

The dyeing complies with Oeko-Tex Standard 100
