Mohair is a soft silky wool that comes from the Angora goat and is considered to be a luxury fibre and it is easy to see why.

The Angora goat produces a long, lustrous, springy coat and the fibre has very few scales.

The goats are shorn twice a year, much like sheep and through all stages of life, from kid, through to a young goat and then adult, with fineness decreasing with age.

Mohair is durable, resilient, soft and is sought after due to its high lustre and sheen. Ideal for spinning and carding. Often used on its own or in blends to add some shine. It also holds dye really well.

Available in 2 weight options 50g and 100g.
