As a fibre lover who spends time creating across macrame, weaving and now knitting too, I get so excited when I come across a real all-rounder yarn that I can use across my varied projects. 
 
Our new chunky 100% Australian grown Merino wool is exactly that. 
 
These jumbo balls are 200g of soft, squishy fibre at 21 microns, with approx. 80m per ball so they will go a long way. 
 
Ideal for cosy jumpers, cardigans, scarves and beanies or creating a wicked weft in simple but oh so stylish tabby. Don’t forget to embrace the squish with a soumak weave. 
 
With a natural elasticity, wool is great for beginner knitters. Once your project is complete it is also easy to care for. We love wool for so many reasons, some being that is soft and cosy plus it is 100% biodegradable, antibacterial and stain resistant. When properly washed and cared for ie: a gentle hand wash (to avoid any felting) with a wool wash and left to dry naturally it will hold its shape too making it the perfect wearable fibre.  
 
As a weaver I love the way it looks and feels between my fingers and how easy it is to manipulate through different techniques to form texture and interest.
